In Loving Memory

If you had a consultation or virtual session with me in 2025, then you likely heard a few "meows" in the background of our sessions. Those meows belonged to my cat, Tiny, who was by my side throughout my journey towards starting Bloom & Branch Counselling. Though small in stature, Tiny had a massive heart and provided a sense of steady companionship and comfort that I strive to bring into every session.

Having recently said goodbye to my sweet boy at the end of 2025, I've been reflecting on how to carry forward the warmth and support he brought to my world. Tiny meant everything to me, and I will miss him endlessly. With this in mind, I am transitioning Bloom & Branch Counselling toward a community-supported therapy model through the launch of The Tiny Fund, in his honour.

The Mission

I believe mental health support should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. My goal has always been to ensure that quality mental health care isn't reserved only for those with the financial means to pay full market rates. The Tiny Fund is a way for us to bridge that gap together. To help create more space for those who need sliding-scale rates, I am inviting clients and donors who feel they have the financial flexibility to "sponsor" a portion of another person's healing journey.

FAQs

How does it work?

The Tiny Fund acts as a community pool. When clients and donors choose to contribute, those extra funds are set aside specifically to bridge the gap for individuals who require a lower sliding-scale rate to access therapy. Your contribution effectively "unlocks" more hours of care for those in financial need.

How can I contribute?

How much should I contribute?

There is no "correct" amount. Most contributors choose to add between $5 and $20 to their session fee. Because these funds are pooled together, even the smallest "Tiny" addition makes a tangible difference when combined with the support of others.

Where does the money go?

100% of these additional funds are dedicated to subsidizing my sliding-scale spots, ensuring that financial barriers don't stand in the way of mental wellness.

Can I still support this cause if I'm not a current client?

Yes, absolutely! We welcome support from anyone who believes in accessible mental health care. You are welcome to make a one-time contribution via the e-transfer instructions above.

Am I eligible to receive a charitable donation receipt?

As Bloom & Branch Counselling is a private business and not a registered non-profit/charity, contributions to The Tiny Fund are not tax-deductible.

Please know there is zero obligation to participate. My priority is, and always will be, our work together. However, if you would like to help grow this legacy of accessible care, simply let me know via email or at our next session.

Small contributions create big change. Thank you for helping Tiny's legacy of comfort live on.
